AZMP-DFV-12004
Inlet manifold set for 1:12 Ford DFV engines
Retail price will
be $55.00 for the complete set. Also check out the Video's on Mac's Modeling
face-book page, just added today 3/28/14
Each set will include a Left hand and Right hand bank, comprising of:
Lower manifold
Upper manifold
Throttle slide
Velocity stack washer (Simulated clamp)
PE lower manifold template for drilling mounting holes in the manifold and DFV
engine.
Springs and wire for the back of the manifolds, plus the small PE brackets to
attach to the manifold. (Against popular belief, these are
not return springs)
You will need to drill out the holes to suit the size of detail cap screws
you want to use:
RB Motion cap screws #1709, you will need 4 packets. Hole size required 0.33MM
Diameter (0.013" Dia.)
Tuner Model Manufacturer cap screws # T2M1021, again you will need 4 packets.
Hole size required 0.3mm Dia. (0.012" Dia)
The first two images are "Rendered" from the 3D software. First image is
without the velocity stack washers, the second has them. Click on the thumbnail
views for a full size image.
I have not shown the throttle slide end folded over as it will have to be to
trap the wire than will run through the two springs
Pictures 6 and 7 are of the first test parts in white metal blanks. Some
machining operations were required as can be seen in the images below to allow
the throttle plate to slide.
