AZMP-M23-1217
Aluminum Rear suspension Cross member, used in
1974 at Rnd 12 Austria, Rnd 13 Italy and Rnd 14 Canada (For
sure, and maybe others)
And in 1975 at Rnd 5, Monaco. (Maybe some others)
This part has been cast in aluminum.
To keep the cost down, they are sold as they look when I receive them, in other
words, you will have some work to do, to clean them up, sand them and drill the
through holes. The larger holes are 1.5mm, (you may want to drill them a
smaller size if you plan on using threaded detail nuts and bolts) the next size down are 1.2mm, then
1mm and the 4 small holes, on the back side, are 0.7mm
The first 5 pictures are how it looks when you will receive it. The next set
of four show I have cleaned it up, very quickly, to give you an idea of what it should look
like. Admittedly I have machines that I used, but it took me approx. 20 minutes
to get it to this stage.
Then I quickly cut a notch in the brackets on top of the Diff., cut off the
pins and drilled a hole through the brackets. One is a little crooked because I
rushed. I have used 00-90 bolts and nuts to show it installed on the Tranny.
They don't look too bad, but maybe a smaller size would be better. Maybe T2M
0.7mm threaded rod and nuts.
The last picture is from Canada 1974, as reference.
