The Gripe of the Week

6/29/10

The email account for comments  dailygripe@macsmodeling.com especially for anyone to send their "Gripe" to me, and I will put it up along with your name, unless you want to be anonymous. I have been asked to make a place for responses, so I'm going to add them at the bottom of gripes.

Although the site is limited to F1 models the "Weekly Gripe" is open to everything in the World.

This is about MotoGP:

Oil Leak/Spill in the Gulf

I know this is bad, but what I have been seeing is even worse!

Everybody is just pointing to BP and saying what they did wrong, how much they should be spending and reimbursing everyone. And the mess gets bigger! No one seems to be saying WHAT CAN WE DO TO FIX THIS?

I think the bigger thing is...............This is a problem that will probably happen again somewhere else, so instead of pointing fingers...........everyone/countries, that can, should get involved on fixing the problem, then decide what BP owes..............JUST FIX IT FIRST! Don't just stand by saying we didn't do it. Which is what it looks like to me.

Now it seems to be causing mental health problems, according to CNN!!!!!! HOW?

This is not a problem just affecting the USA, it is affecting neighboring countries and will have a nock-on affect in the World, so; all the powers that be........GET TOGETHER AND FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX IT!!

I see no reason why it could not be plugged, by ramming something back down the tube, and then ramming some multi part epoxy (or the like) on top of that, and concrete on top of that. Then cut the protruding end in ways so it can be bent over and welded to itself. Then bury the whole thing under concrete.

All these technologies exist. Is there a reason something cannot be forced into the tube??? I don't see any. I see it as a permanent solution to stopping the leak. Then concentrate on the cleanup without fear of it leaking again.

Then all the Movie Stars and Sports figures can sell their ideas to everyone for clean-up and be useful.

If you disagree, or agree with the above I would love to hear your comments at dailygripe@macsmodeling.com
